Delaware Counties

Delaware has three counties. Each county hosts an Office of Vital Statistics branch for in-person orders of Delaware death records, along with a Register of Wills and a Recorder of Deeds that hold related estate and property records. Delaware death records from 1986 to today are held by the Office of Vital Statistics. Deaths from 1985 and earlier are held by the Delaware Public Archives in Dover.
